Tachelesz Cafe & Bistro in Frankfurt

This is my second time here. That was really good at first. The waiters were nice, friendly and took our order and served it quickly, well what has changed today !! I waited more than 15 minutes on the first floor, no one came to us even though we told them at the entrance that we would like to sit upstairs. After 15 minutes I went downstairs myself, the man in the bar ignored me and continued talking to a woman very comfortably !! I stood at the bar for about 5 minutes until the waitress came from outside and asked me about my order. Approx. 8 minutes later the waitress came with only half of my order. She forgot ?. I've never seen such bad service. I don't mind that I am not here too first and I see that the quality has gone down. Next time I'll ask myself twice if I want to come here.

Great breakfast options, very good coffee, cosy atmosphere with an old school design

I got in spontaneously and was very positively surprised by the nice staff, thanks for probably the best espresso in Frankfurt.

The café is nicely decorated and it is nice to sit there. The service was also very friendly, but I wasn't that happy with the food. The curry was unfortunately no longer warm and also not particularly good. The rice is already very dried out. On the other hand, the beetroot salad tasted good and the hummus wasn't bad either.

Very tasty, and above all, very friendly staff! Nice start to the day!

New café, cozy atmosphere, delicious cake

Very nice staff, food was delicious! Had a vegetarian platter for two, an omlette and pancakes. I can only recommend!

Nice decor, good coffee, friendly service

One of the most beautiful places for a leisurely breakfast in Frankfurt! The food is delicious, inexpensive and the staff very friendly!

Had breakfast with a friend, the service was nice and made an effort! The breakfast left a lot to be desired! On the plate "Lachsliebe" was a slice of salmon, the egg was hard, the rolls were baked. When you cut it open with the scraper, only a mush was left! The "Schinkenliebe" was first brought as "Käseliebe", then exchanged The Gouda and the cream cheese indicated on the menu. The ham was the cheapest quality! When we left, we saw the crispy rolls at the bakery and our mouths watered! Unfortunately a total letdown!

Was there a while ago. Was pretty busy and the service a bit overwhelmed. Cake and coffee were fine. I also took a bag of coffee beans with me because it was said that it was always freshly roasted. I have to mention that I like to drink good coffee, I am a coffee fan and have also tried a lot of varieties apart from supermarket coffee. The variety "Guatemala" was simply inedible for me. I don't think it's my machine. I tried coarsely and finely ground, but the coffee just tastes bitter and burnt and has no other taste. After buying it, I stuck my nose in the bag and already guessed what to expect. By then it was unfortunately too late. I can only hope that it was a "Monday pack" and that others were luckier. Unfortunately for the price disappointing for me.

Great location and great service. A lot of value is placed on customer requests and quality. Here you can also have a delicious breakfast or lunch. There is also wine, cocktails, hot chocolate and delicious star coffee ... so everything is there for young and old! The curd cheese cake and the New York Cheese Cake are notorious and highly recommended. You can simply switch off and read your newspaper or spend a nice day with the children and in larger groups at a large table. Worth a visit for both Frankfurt and visitors and tourists :)

A stylish and cozy cafe with charm and flair. And the staff is just as charming and funny! Not to mention the delicious cake and the excellent coffee. Where did they get the armchairs from? I would also like to have that in my living room.

Highly recommended. Went there yesterday for the first time and it worthwhile. The decoratio is very classic, the food was delicious. Try also the new york cheesecake, its delicious. The staff were also very polite and friendly.

Great staff, pleasant ambience, nice choice of tea/coffee and pastry (while there's proper food too). Also it was not so packed as the cafes at the square. One of my new favourites in FFM.

I walked past this cafe so many times and finally went in today! It was more than worth it! The service is extremely attentive and friendly, the atmosphere cozy, the cappuccino was good and the quality and taste of my breakfast was outstanding! I will definitely come again!

I really enjoyed the taste of kaffe creme.

A good, local coffee shop in the heart of the old town near Römerberg square. They offer cozy indoor seating or outdoor tables for those wanting to people watch or enjoy the weather in the square outside. The coffee was well made and the shop has diverse offerings. The staff is pleasant and knows English as well as German. Take a break from walking around and relax and refuel here.

Waited 20 minutes before someone came to take my order. But before then I waited in line at the front counter to order only to be told I need to order from upstairs if I am sitting up stairs. Hot day so waiting is unpleasant. The ice cream was yummy, iced coffee was average, tea was good.

Cosy café right in the throes of the Christmas market. Delicious cakes and helpful staff who will serve you in English or German. Lovely, homely feel to it - the perfect place to while away the hours!

Truly a rare gem! Pleasant, homelike and very friendly atmosphere, and most importantly: some of the best, self-roasted coffee varieties available as well as a great assortment of delicious cakes. They now offer a good breakfast / light dish menu worth trying out.

Very unfriendly waitress. They Don't want people to stay there on low budget even thou I had 2 coffees and just wanted a quite place to get on the internet. They said I should go if I don't order anything else after 3 hours. So I left and won't come back here even its the last place on earth to get a coffee.
